As education consultants and specialists, SCS staff possess a depth of understanding and knowledge gleaned from many years assisting students and families and from their own boarding school and university experiences. School and Subject Selection

School

SCS’s Educational Consultancy Service assists families in generating a shortlist of schools, considering factors such as curriculum, school type and size, reputation, location, and boarder ratio. Subject selection is particularly important for Year 10, Year 12 and penultimate year entrants, as subject choices will determine the university courses students can apply to. SCS university consultants will undertake discussions with students and provide advice on subjects that will complement their interests.

University

Selecting a university course can be overwhelming. SCS provides a helping hand in choosing the right university and guiding students in selecting the most suitable course based on their interests, talents and passions.

 

Exam Preparation

Tutorial partners can provide face-to-face tutorials and online lessons for admissions exams and standardised tests to optimise student performance. Tutorials cover all key curriculum components and provide intensive training in core skills and techniques.

 

Enrolment Process

Influenced by student profiles and preferences, SCS provides comprehensive advice on the optimal school selection strategy, including entry year, location and the type and number of schools under consideration. SCS can also assist with application and revision timeline preparation if required.

 

Communication

All communication between schools and families is facilitated by SCS’s Educational Consultancy Service. Access to translators is available if required.

 

School Tours

SCS co-ordinates school tours on-site and virtually, both privately or in a group. This includes initial visits, as well as assessment and interview attendances.
